How to pin on a boutonniere and corsage

  1. Store your corsage or boutonniere in a cool spot like the fridge but not the crisper.
  2. Corsages and boutonnieres are pinned on opposite sides so that when you dance the flowers don’t touch.
  3. Traditionally, boutonnieres are pinned on your left side stem down over your heart. Take the pin and push it thru the back of your lapel, thru the flower stem and back thru the fabric.
  4. Traditionally, corsages are pinned on your right side and will be more secure if pinned thru to your undergarment.
  5. It should gently bend over the collar bone. The wearer should be able to turn their head slightly and smell the flowers. A wrist corsage is worn with the flower facing up your arm and the stem pointed toward your hand, traditionally worn on your left hand.
