This occurs in winter and early spring when the plant has been kept too warm and the compost too wet for the limited amount of light available. Where practical, prune off this poor quality growth. If these symptoms appear in the growing season, the most likely cause is either UNDERFEEDING or TOO LITTLE LIGHT.
